We are excited to announce that our chair, Tim Thompson will be speaking at 16th annual Clean Energy BC Showcase, #Generate2018 on Nov 28, Plenary 8. The discussion will focus on assessing the economic & environmental benefits of extensive electrification in BC.
This two day event consists of a great line up of speakers with Clean Tech expertise, exhibits, field trips, short courses, and of course a great way to network. The Canadian Geothermal Energy Association (CanGEA), hosted a session at the 2018 Geothermal Resource Council Annual Meeting and Expo (GRCAM) in Reno, Nevada, called Geothermal Energy in Canada. This three day conference held on October 14-17 had over 1000 geothermal enthusiasts from across the globe.
As a member company, Borealis GeoPower was asked to present alongside with three other CanGEA member companies. The paper presented by Katie Huang, (pictured at the lectern) entitled “An overview of Borealis GeoPower Projects and Community Engagements". discussed Borealis' three geothermal projects in British Columbia. Katie was with Borealis during summer 2018 and is the lead author on the work which focused on all projects currently being completed by Borealis. The presentation, additionally, was rated 4/5 stars by conference goers. |
