Borealis Geothermal is seeking a business, communications, computer science, or business administrator graduate (or near graduation) team-mate, with a passion for geothermal energy.
Title: Office Manager, IT Support and Graphic Designer Location: Office-based position in Calgary, Alberta Regular Hours: 30-35 hours/week The summer role can be up to 19 weeks or shorter depending upon a candidate’s availability. The role can be part-time, if the candidate so desires and the summer role can lead to a full time role. As soon as: April 22, 2024 As late as: August 31, 2024 Borealis Geothermal is a geothermal exploration and development company focused on developing industrial heat geothermal projects throughout Western Canada. We are seeking a Calgary-based team-mate with a strong understanding and interest of the Canadian energy (conventional or renewable) industry. Currently, Borealis is developing British Columbia projects as well as a pipeline of consulting contracts across Canada. The successful candidate will help grow the geothermal energy industry in Canada. This role would qualify as an internship or co-op for the right candidate. Positive Environmental impact of the role: Geothermal energy is a renewable resource that can be used to create electricity or used as heat to substitute for fossil fuels. Geothermal energy is a direct substitution for natural gas and other fossil fuels used for heating of industrial and commercial processes. The integration of geothermal energy into brownfield industrial operations dramatically reduces the GHG footprint of the industry.
