Borealis Geopower's Sustainaville project could establish the infrastructure necessary to facilitate the development of local businesses in the Valemount community. One such planned development is the creation of a hot pool tourist attraction on Kinbasket Lake. Andru McCracken from The Rocky Mountain Goat discussed Borealis Geopower's involvement in this project in his article entitled "Geothermal society makes headway". In the article, Mike Sato, the world renowned hot pool developer hired for the project by the Valemount Geothermal Society, is quoted as saying "Realistically it (the pool) should be capable of year-round tourism. It could become a very popular hot spring site that combines rustic elegance with majestic scenery in a tranquil, secluded setting."
